ORIENTATION DAY
In an attempt to acquaint parents with the upcoming changes in the school and with the new classes allotted to the children, the school organized an Orientation program on April 6th and April 7th. Students, old and new, came along with parents to meet their teachers, and were eager to be back to school after a long break.
The teachers of kindergarten welcomed parents to the institution and assured them that their children would enjoy each day of school. The teachers of higher classes, beginning from Grade 1 to Grade 5, welcomed back old students and their parents, acknowledging efforts made by them in the previous grades as well as informing them about required preparation for the new class.
The visit to the classroom was accompanied by a seminar to inform parents of the improvements made to the education system of the school. The use and importance of a new medium of communication between parents, students and teachers was actively discussed and a software called ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning Program), that would enable the same, was introduced. Considering the concept of modern classrooms, the use of digital content acquired from companies Educomp and Waterford was also demonstrated.
All in all, the event served its purpose of reinforcing bonds of cooperation between the institution and parents.
