Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother in the wide world over.
The students of Chitkara International School celebrated Mother’s Day on Friday May 7th, 2010. The Students showed their love and affection towards their mothers by making gifts in their own way. The students from grade 1 to grade 6 made photo frames, necklaces, jewelry boxes, wall hangings with beautiful mother quotations written on them. The students believe that nothing could be more precious for moms than a gift made with love.
The kindergarten students celebrated this day with full enjoyment and enthusiasm. They invited the mothers to school and played different games and activities with them. The tiny tots danced on peppy numbers with their moms. The mothers along with their children had a competition in which they decorated a plain t-shirt with decorations given from school. The mothers also had a very interesting competition ‘Collage Making ’ in which they were asked to bring pictures of their child right from the time the child was born till now and the mothers came up with beautiful collages. Chitkara International School believes that “Mother” is the name for God, in the lips and hearts of little children.
Over all the Mother’s Day at Chitkara International School was celebrated with full fervor and turned out to be a huge success.
