Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations

Tuesday, September 29, 2009, the students of Chitkara International School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti. The school invited a group of 50 international peace delegates led by American Gandhi Mr. Donald McAvinchey and Senior Ahimsa Artist Mr. Ignatius Xavier for interaction and “Art For Peace” program. This annual Peace Fest ’09 initiatives in Chandigarh is a voluntary effort by Yuvsatta (an NGO).

The interaction with American Gandhi Mr. Donald McAvinchey motivated the students. Few motivational games were also played with the students which taught them the significance of team spirit, leadership and ethics.
